The fabulous Swing East Festival

A fantastic afternoon of music and dancing, with a dash of pimms and and slice of caramel pecan brownie at Swing East in London’s Poplar. There were stalls selling vintage clothes, jewellery and home-wares, as well as a collection of classic vinyl; wonderful homemade cakes ,and lovely fruity sangria. A hot selection of jump blues, sassy swing and roots rock n roll was provided by Carmen Ghia & the Hot Rods, Sugar Ray’s Lucky Combo, and the fabulous Hot Tin Roofs .¬†Thankfully Chrisp Street Market is undercover so we ignored the rain and the vibrant, passionate jiving and lindy hopping carried on without a care all afternoon.¬†Swing East 001 Swing East 002 Swing East 003 Swing East 004 Swing East 005 Swing East 006 Swing East 007 Swing East 008 Swing East 009 Swing East 010 Swing East 011 Swing East 012 Swing East 013 Swing East 014 Swing East 015 Swing East 016 Swing East 017 Swing East 018 Swing East 019 Swing East 020 Swing East 021 Swing East 022 Swing East 023 Swing East 024 Swing East 025 Swing East 026 Swing East 027 Swing East 028 Swing East 029 Swing East 030 Swing East 031 Swing East 032 Swing East 033 Swing East 034 Swing East 035 Swing East 036 Swing East 037 Swing East 038 Swing East 039 Swing East 040 Swing East 041 Swing East 042 Swing East 043 Swing East 044 Swing East 045 Swing East 046
